Paver sealing is an important and vital aspect of protecting your paver investment. As important as it is, many homeowners attempt to DIY this project and quickly find out that paver sealing needs to be done by trained professional contractors who understand different paver surfaces and choosing the right type of sealers for each project. That's where Simple Solutions comes in; after receiving a request from a client that is looking to get a proposal for paver restoration and/or paver sealing, we will first schedule a time to come and take a look at the surface in person. After discussing with the customer the best approach for their specific project, we will provide samples of sealed pavers for the customer to review and choose from. Finally we will schedule and begin the work of protecting your paver and giving it a gorgeous new look.
First, we will thoroughly clean the surface using steam and high pressure along with chemical cleaners to remove any stains and/or organic growth that has accumulated on the paver and in the joints. Second we make sure that all of the old joint sand has been thoroughly removed down to the base layer of the paver foundation. We will then replace the old joint sand with new silica sand leaving an eighth of an inch space between the sand and the pavers chamfer edge. Lastly, we will then begin the sealing process with 3 coats of the applicable sealer for your surface. The first coat referred to as the "flood coat" is for locking in the joints and stabilizing the silica sand to inhibit weed growth and algae buildup. The second coat is for the paver surface, allowing the sealer to soak in to the porous paver, darkening and enhancing the natural beauty of the paver. The third and final coat is for the "wet look" appearance that everyone loves, bonding the 2nd and 3rd coats to the top of the paver.
Having your screens and bars cleaned can drastically change the presence your pool area. Our screen enclosures cleaning process is very safe and effective. It is a two step process of applying detergents to both sides of the enclosures screens, and bars, and then using a very wide fan tip with low pressure to rinse the screens and make sure the bars are all cleaned in uniform. Too much pressure can rip and leave marks in the screen. This also removes 90-95% of the debris on the top of the enclosure such as leaves, pine needles, etc. We do offer full pine needle removal. However, that is a separate service. We recommend having your pool enclosure cleaned every 2-3 years to prevent a lot of algae/ debris build up.
